Wolfgang K: From Launch to Christening

The GROOT XL vessel Wolfgang K has recently reached two important milestones on her journey towards delivery and future operations at sea.

Following her successful launch at Jiangsu Dajin Shipyard in China, Wolfgang K officially entered the water, marking a significant step in the construction process. The launch reflects the continued confidence in the proven GROOT XL design and represents another valuable addition to the growing fleet.

Shortly thereafter, the vessel was officially christened at the shipyard, celebrating another key moment in the project's progress. The christening ceremony brought together the project partners and marked the transition towards the final stages of construction, testing and preparation for service.

We would like to congratulate Jiangsu Dajin Shipyard, Bereederungsgesellschaft Alstership mbH & Co. KG, MF Shipping Group and Toepfer Transport GmbH on these important achievements. The successful cooperation between all parties has contributed to the steady progress of this impressive vessel.

With the launch and christening now completed, Wolfgang K will continue through her final outfitting, testing, and sea trial programme before commencing operations.
