'Canopée' receives wings and nomination

Already in operation from December 2022, 'Canopée' was recently completed with the installation of four AYRO OCEANWINGS®. Each wing is about 32,5 mtr in height and 14 mtrs in length. The system provides additional power for propulsion, allowing the vessels to benefit from the winds and to make substantial savings in burning carbon fuels. The vessel with the wings in operation has a spectacular look. With this completion she is one of the very first modern cargo vessels specially designed to use wind assist propulsion on a large scale.

Based on the technical achievements, modern design and building she is nominated as one of three candidates for the ‘Ship of the Year’ award 2023. November 6th the award from Dutch society KNVTS is issued, we keep our fingers crossed for 'Canopée'.
