After several completions of the GROOT 5200XL type, Dajin shipyard proceeds with building the 5900XL type. German owner Navalis ordered 4 vessels according to this design. On August 17th the first vessel was successfully launched. In total 8 vessels of this type are under construction or on order (for owners: Navalis, Baas and L&B). More are expected. The GROOT 5900XL has iceclass 1A and has a single cargohold with approx. 322.000 cubft capacity.
